Are Stem Cell Injections covered by health savings accounts?
We have contacted several insurance companies, CPA’s, as well as Medicare and healthcare.gov and no one seems to be able to provide a 100% accurate answer regarding health savings accounts and whether or not you can use them for stem cell injections. The over arching consensus is most likely since it is health related however nothing in writing.
If you are considering stem cell injections communicate with your health insurance provider and or HSA account management to ensure that it is something that you are able to use your HSA account for or speak to your accountant or tax advisor.

I will say just this week three people have paid using their HSA cards.

We also inquired about health incentive accounts and got basically the same runaround so again we will have to defer to the governing bodies and the appropriate authorities to answer the mysteries of life.
